I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology Education from Seoul National University, Korea in 2018 and 2020, respectively, and earned my Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from the same institution in August 2025. My research focuses on the sources, fluxes, and cycling of nutrients, dissolved and particulate organic matter (DOM and POM), and trace metals in marine environments using stable and radioisotope tracers. I joined the Joye Lab as a Postdoctoral Researcher in August 2026. My current research aims to quantify methane and DOM inputs from cold seep systems and assess the bioavailability of seep-derived DOM. I am also interested in understanding how microbial processes shape elemental cycling in the ocean through interdisciplinary approaches that integrate biogeochemistry and microbiology.
